How lucky are we at ACME Fine Wines to call “Sharing good wine with the world” our jobs?!? Hailing from the prestigious Atlas Peak, Spring Mountain, & Coombsville AVAs, we will all gladly go to work for this incredible value, Tether, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley 2019 at an unbelievable $52 per bottle!! I think it comes down to this very important detail: good wine is easy to share! Good wine connects people in more ways than you might imagine. Countless hands are involved in every bottle you open. Growers, vineyard workers, winemakers, cellar-crew, and interns, who physically transform grape into wine. Not to mention the wine club directors, salespeople, drivers, foodie friends, and trusted advisors who help bring that bottle to you. An insane amount of labor and passion goes into filling a glass with wine, and we are constantly in awe of and grateful for our community, who make it all possible. First seen in ACME’s UTR Club years ago, we are thrilled to connect you with the newest release of TETHER! This is an electrifying “Meeting of the Minds” project between our friend Kimberly Jones, a well-connected wine broker who represents many of California’s most collectible wines (Scarecrow, Blankiet, Realm, Checkerboard, Memento Mori and Ovid) and veteran winemaker Anna Monticelli (Château Cheval Blanc, Seavey Vineyard, Bryant Family, Piña, and Stack House). A near-perfect blend of 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Malbec, 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc, the wine was aged exclusively in French oak with 60% new barrels. The 2019 Tether Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with luscious aromas of black currants, blackberries, black cherries, and blueberry compote. The gorgeous dark fruit core is complemented by layers of volcanic rock, spring flowers, graphite, mocha, and well-integrated French oak. The wine possesses a rich texture that coats the palate in velvety tannins, sweet ripe fruit, and elegant, toasty oak. This wine showcases dazzling finesse and leaves you with a long-lasting finish.
