Sodhani Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019

Arvind and Beverly Sodhani had been enjoying the best wine of Burgundy and Bordeaux for years and spent over a decade trying to find the perfect estate vineyard in the Napa Valley. With a stroke of luck, in July 2013, they became the proud owners of just twelve acres perched at 400 feet of elevation in the foothills of Spring Mountain. The 6.5-acre hidden treasure of a vineyard centers on Cabernet Sauvignon vines planted in 2000 by the revered Jim Barbour on volcanic soils. And most of the fruit had been sold to none other than Bill Harlan. As everything began to fall into place, the Sodhanis leaped for joy when Thomas Brown agreed to come on board as their winemaker. ACME was proud to debut wines from the inaugural vintage of Sodhani Vineyards, and we continue to champion the plush, velvety 100% Cabernet Sauvignon offerings from this unique site.

The Reserve is a barrel selection of the very best lots from the property. The palate has a completely saturating dark fruit core with notes of blackberry reduction, cigar wrapper,  cinnamon stick, and lilac. The medium tannin structure holds everything together, providing an architectural framework. With a few hours in a decanter or a few years in your cellar, this wine will evolve and show its true colors.
