You are likely already familiar with Wesley’s family vineyard, 7 & 8. The 16-acre property that boasts some of the most exquisite mountain fruit has garnered attention from critics and wine lovers alike! When the family brought on Martha McClellan, an absolute legend here in Napa Valley (Checkerboard, Hamel, Sloan, and her personal project Levy & McClellan, which she shares with her husband Bob Levy of Harlan and BOND), we knew this project was destined to become one of Napa’s next big wine brands. Wesley dove full-on into the challenge of learning the wine business. After spending a few years working for Thomas Keller at The French Laundry, he traded in his suit for cellar boots and worked under the mentorship of winemaker extraordinaire Bob Levy at both Harlan and BOND. Here he learned that behind any great bottle of wine are even greater relationships – you simply can’t build a brand that will withstand the test of time without the trusted hard work of the vineyard workers, the enthusiasm of the seasonal interns, the constant strive of the winemaker, and the loyalty of those who treasure the wines. In short, it is the makers and admirers alike that together create greatness. Signature mountain tannins that are well integrated meet a multi-layered and seamless mid-palate. The finish continues to deliver long after your last taste.
