Hervieux-Dumez Special Club Sacy Champagne 2016

Established just after World War II, Hervieux-Dumez is one of the most spectacular, historic Champagne houses ever. Founded by Henri Hervieux, these gorgeous wines benefit from clay-limestone soils found throughout their estate vineyards across four magnificent Crus within the Montagne de Reims: Sacy, Chamery, Ecueil, and Villedommange.  

This bottling holds the very prestigious title of ‘Special club.’ Made only during the years determined as the highest quality, this classification of wine is developed according to the most demanding specifications in Champagne. Also known as ‘Grower Champagne,’ it is required that the growing and winemaking happen under one roof. 

A blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. There is excellent definition and sharpness to this wine with a palate of juicy red fruits and a mineral backbone that draws the finish to an energetic close.
