Shared Notes ~ one of our FAVORITE RELEASES OF THE YEAR!!! Shared Notes is the joint venture between wife and husband winemaking team, Bibiana González Rave and Jeff Pisoni. While these two incredibly talented and passionate winemakers make wines separate from each other, Cattleya and Pisoni Vineyards respectively, 2012 marked the first vintage that they produced wine together and of course, ACME was one of the first to get it. A celebration of Sauvignon Blanc, each year Shared Notes produces two wines paying homage, separately, to the white wines of Bordeaux and the Loire Valley, with grapes sourced from the Russian River Valley. Truly exceptional wines, crafted with care and shared love, for both the sites and grapes that make the foundation of the wines, and for the union that binds these two incredibly talented winemakers. Ever been lucky enough to have the extreme pleasure that comes from a bottle of Dagueneau from the Loire Valley or Chateau Haut Brion Blanc from Bordeaux? These are two of the very best expressions of Sauvignon Blanc in the world. But not only are they hard to come by, they are also some of the most expensive SB's produced. I will defend to my grave that the wines made by Rave and Pisoni, are unequivocally the very next best thing, if not better. The 'Les Pierres Qui Décident' (The Stones that Decide) is an homage to the great wines of the Loire Valley, where the rocks/stones decide the style and with a nod to the late, great Didier Dagueneau. 100% Sauvignon Blanc coming from the Merino Vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley, this exquisite wine is laser focused and beaming with energy, where concentration meets delicacy.

"The 2022 Les Pierres que Décident is yet another vintage that offers a stunning expression of this classic varietal that is rarely seen yet has become all too common among the Shared Notes wines. A singular wine in both aroma and flavor, this 100% Sauvignon Blanc begins with showy, lifted notes of key lime, grapefruit, and candied white peach that is supported by a secondary bouquet of crisp, green orchard fruits, fresh ginger and crushed seashells. On the palate, citrus leads the way with lime juice and lemon peel giving way to more plush notes of nectarine and creamy lemon curd, born from 10 months of sur lie aging in all-new French oak puncheons. Fresh, bracing, and lively in every aspect, this wine’s vibrant acidity slowly evolves with time to show hints of volume and roundness, giving a remarkably complex and balanced experience."
