Manoir du Capucin Pouilly-Fuisse 1er Cru 2021

The story of Manoir du Capucin is a story of homecoming and lineage. The estate was first purchased by the Bayon Family in 1933 with dreams of creating a multi-generational domain that would cement the Bayon name in the history of Burgundy. However, the passion for winemaking was lost on the next generation, and the vineyards were leased to other domains for many decades. It wasn't until Chloe, the great-granddaughter, decided to return to the family estate and revive the passion and tradition of her ancestors. Today, Chloe is turning heads as one of only a handful of young female winemakers in her region, pushing the boundaries and making her mark on the industry. 

Pouilly-Fuisse is one of the southernmost regions in Burgundy, and the warm sunshine here is undeniable on the palate. This is a rich and luscious Chardonnay that utterly charmed us! The wine aged for 12 months in oak on the lees, which lends incredible texture to the palate. Notes of vanilla, brioche, and lemon meringue pie. Bright acidity and a voluptuous body make this wine a head-turner. Simply delicious and perfect Burgundy for the summer months!
