Fait-Main Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2022

Benoit Touquette (Realm, Hartwell, KATA and many more) dazzles with this, his personal bottling. Fait-Main is truly handmade, with fruit coming from the famed Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, located here in the western foothills of St. Helena. Andy Beckstoffer purchased this amazing site in 1983, but local records show that grapes have been grown on this property since the 1880s. Located on the west side of St. Helena, at the lower foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, it boasts gravelly, well-drained soils that produce powerful, structured Cabernet Sauvignon.

Farm workers aptly named the vineyard Las Piedras, which translates to the stones in Spanish. The richly layered palate that each vintage has expressed thus far, shows the site’s compelling interplay of fruit and structure, bound together with graceful minerality. French-born, Benoit proclaimed “I never felt compelled to make my own wine until I visited Las Piedras Vineyard. It felt like coming home.”
